The Executive Committee
A working executive committee oversees the show. The executive committee consists of the Junior and Adult General Committee Chairs, the show officers, plus any additional people as the state sees fit. The executive committee should consist of both juniors and adults.
The director of activities and junior activities and respective regional managers for the American Angus Association should be included in executive committee meetings whenever possible.
The show officers should consist of a chairman, vice chairman, treasurer and corresponding secretary. These people may also hold other responsibilities as well.
The chairperson(s) oversees state-sponsored efforts and coordinates general planning meetings, working closely with the American Angus Association junior activities department. The show secretary records minutes at all general planning meetings, notifies appropriate leaders of scheduled meetings, coordinates correspondence and handles other miscellaneous duties as needed. The show treasurer is responsible for depositing funds collected into a special account, making disbursements as required and providing regular, accurate reports on recipients and expenses to the shows executive committee.
The executive committee oversees all general committees.
