Dear Commercial Exhibitors,
The American Angus Association along with the Iowa Junior Angus and Angus Associations are hosting the 2008 National Junior Angus Show on the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa, July 14 - 19. This event started in 1969 and is now the world largest single beef breed cattle show. This year we anticipate more than 1,300 head of cattle will be shown. In addition, there are multiple life skills contests and competitions in which the junior members compete. I.e. public speaking, team sales, photography contest, writing, graphic design, judging, cook-off, livestock, judging, quiz bowl and more. We estimate that 4,000 people will be in attendance from nearly 40 states.
The Iowa Junior Angus Association in hosting of the event is responsible for the trade show/commercial exhibit area. There are two options for Commercial Exhibit Space this year.
1) Varied Industry Building (VI Bldg)
This building will also house the hospitality area, children’s area, many of the meal functions, the competition rooms, and the contest displays.
Display area is 10’ x 10’ for $450 with additional space available in 10’ increments at $300 for each 10 feet. The displays in the VI Bldg will include a 8’ tall pipe & drape, side drapes, plus 1 table and 2 chairs for each 10’ section.
2) Outside Displays
The display area size is a 18’ x 24’ for $750. This is for space only no tables, chairs or pipe & drape is included in this price. (This area is big enough to accommodate a large trailer.)
Please indicate on the enclosed form the space desired and which location is preferred; i.e. inside or outside. A $100 deposit is due by April 1, 2008 along with your signed contract. The balance will be due on June 1, 2008. Please contact me with questions at 319-750-2359.
